About the role:
As Lead, Revenue Operations, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our revenue processes, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and driving efficiency across our revenue operations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial data analysis, experience with revenue recognition principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Revenue Analysis and Financial Reporting:
● Oversee and manage the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of revenue recognition.
● Analyze financial performance related to fixed price, T&M, and retainer contracts.
● Monitor revenue streams and margins, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
● Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue and profitability.
Data Analysis and Insights:
● Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze large datasets, summarizing key findings for executive management.
● Extract actionable insights from financial data, providing recommendations to optimize revenue and margins.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and ensure comprehensive financial analysis.
Process Improvement:
● Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of revenue operations.
● Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for revenue recognition and financial reporting.
● Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, ensuring the company’s revenue operations remain competitive.
Contribute to organization building through training, mentoring and developing repeatable analytic approaches.
Responsibilities
● Revenue Analysis: Analyze revenue streams, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights to senior management.
● Financial Reporting: Prepare and review revenue reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
● Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline revenue operations processes and improve efficiency.
● Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Insights teams to ensure alignment on revenue forecasts, bookings, and reporting.
● Data Integrity: Maintain data integrity in revenue systems and databases, performing regular audits and reconciliations.
● Revenue Recognition: Apply knowledge of revenue recognition principles (e.g., ASC 606) to ensure proper accounting treatment for revenue transactions.
● Forecasting and Planning: Support revenue forecasting and budgeting processes, providing insights into future revenue trends and opportunities.
● Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements to revenue processes and systems to support business growth and scalability.
● Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by senior management or other stakeholders.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
● Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in revenue operations, financial analysis, or related roles within the IT services industry.
● Strong understanding of fixed price, T&M, and retainer contract structures and their financial implications, Google Apps Script, macros, and automation framework
● Advanced proficiency in Excel, with experience in handling and analyzing large datasets.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights and provide actionable recommendations.
● Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
